Hello clients and good friends…
I am so excited to invite you to the “Get It Done” Writing Intensive
June 25 – 27, 2015 in Bozeman, Montana… here’s where to get your ticket!
When you run a business online, you’re writing constantly.
Web copy. Sales pages. Emails. Newsletters. Blog posts. Video scripts. Marketing for your workshop or talk. Free gifts. Opt-in pages.
You’re pretty much writing all the time.
… but it’s hard to make time to write.
Writing about your work takes quiet time. Focus. And even if you’re making time to get your writing done, you’re not totally confident that your words are connecting with the right people.
And truth be told…
Right now, maybe you can FEEL your message… but you don’t quite have the words to express it powerfully.
You know what you do. You know who you do it for. You know the problem you solve. But your message feels flat. There’s no life in it.
You want to “work on” this… because you know it’s directly linked to your ability to generate revenue online. But you’re busy! It’s hard to carve out time to really “drill down” into what you want to say.
Here’s a better idea…

Here’s why the Writing Intensive will get you a return on your investment…
- Writing alone keeps you from seeing a wetter, wilder, juicer version of what causes people to hire you. Tap into this special sauce, and you connect with your people in a deeper way.
- You’re evolving + changing in your business… but you’re still writing to the outdated target market about the outdated problem you help them solve. Turn this around, and you will attract the people you WANT into your business.
- You aren’t telling the whole truth in your marketing right now. You’re holding back, because you worry what people will think of you if you actually wrote what you know is true. When you give yourself permission to tell the WHOLE truth, your energy changes – and you become way more compelling and attractive to more sophisticated clients. That’s what this is about.
Here’s how it works:
I host a small group of business owners committed to growing their business and getting their message out there in a much bigger, more inspiring way using writing and online marketing.
We’ll gather for 2 and a half full days of copywriting training, messaging, and launch and list-building strategy. Each business owner will get a hot seat to present her most challenging marketing + writing project to the group—and get coaching from me about how to make it simpler, more compelling, and increase the response rate.
Will there be individual attention?
The request I get the most from business owners is: “can you look over what I’ve written to make sure I’m getting it right?”
Absolutely – because I believe we learn best through experience. Also, I believe that every business owner has a story to tell through her business – but that not every business owner is telling it.
But we won’t stop there – because to truly stand out on the web, you need to have a point of view that is fresh, uncommon, and genuine. So we’ll also be looking at how you describe the work you do, and how it aligns with your deepest values and mission. The goal is to get more of THAT rich juicy goodness into everything you write—because that’s what causes your audience to really care about what you have to say.
Are you teaching, too, Stella?
Yes – we’ll be using each person’s questions as a jumping off point to talk about the basics of writing copy that sells, as well how to use storytelling more as you share your point of view.
This is a group that I will be leading. You will get handouts, templates, and plenty of ideas about how to write about your work and frame your programs in a way that is simply irresistible to your favorite kinds of clients.
What could YOU get done in the “Get It Done” Writing Intensive?
- Rewrite your homepage, programs page, and About page
- Come up with the concept + name for your telesummit and write your Speaker/JV packet
- Write or revise the ideas, headlines + bullets for your sales page + preview call page (plus name the program)
- Draft your autoresponder emails for people who opt-in to your list
- Come up with topics + titles for 6 months’ worth of newsletter articles + blog posts, and re-envision the sections of your newsletter.
- Discover how to make writing a habit that’s fun so you get more done (minus the drudgery)
- Get that marketing writing project YOU’VE been working on forever DONE….
How to think about the investment.
It’s way easier to get your writing done with a partner than it is by yourself. When you write with Stella, you build momentum for ALL your writing. Plus, you’ll be in a room with other business owners with fantastic, proactive, joyous energy who are moving forward, just like you.
The other business owners in the room are just the kind of high-quality JV partners, accountability buddies, and friends that may be missing in your life right now (or, you just want more of ‘em!). What they all have in common is that they don’t hide behind their writing – they are rising icons and personalities on the web. So you will be in good company!
This is a great way to supercharge your writing for the rest of the year. If you’re sending a newsletter or doing online launches, you can’t afford mediocre messages. Simply put, they’ll kill your business.
The time is now. And I’m here to help you cross over to the next level in your writing. You know it’s in you. Let’s get it out, into the world, serving more people and making you money.

But maybe you have questions before you are a wholehearted yes…
Q: I need to look into flights. What’s the nearest airport?
Q: When should I come and leave?
Q: What are the other things I need to budget for as part of this workshop?
Your ticket covers a project consult with me before the event to help you decide what project to work on, the 2.5 day workshop in Montana, access to my Writing Guides to help you get your writing done faster, and dinner Friday night (at one of my favorite restaurants in town that is really good about catering to people with food allergies and sensitivities).
Q: Who else is in the room?
This workshop is for business owners who need to write for their business. We’ve hosted life coaches, business experts, public speaking trainers, jewelry makers, a Texan farmer with 10,000 subscribers, intuitives, keynote speakers, interior designers, aestheticians, health coaches, bookkeepers, InfusionSoft experts, and Pilates studio owners.
Most people have been in business awhile, so they know who they and what they sell. But many of them come to the workshop because they know they need to shift, or get clearer about who their audience really is (and what they really want).
This is a writing workshop, but we also tend to talk about business and strategy a fair amount, too. People who are newer in business tell us that they love being in a room of more established business owners who are already “going for it” in a bigger way. And more established business owners seem to enjoy talking shop and brainstorming fresh ways to clearly communicate the value of their work.
Also, if you think Stella’s a kick in the pants, you will fit right in with this group. This is a band of serious business owners, who happen to be funny and smart. No need to be intimidated; we are quite welcoming and inclusive. Some people are clients of Stella’s, and some have just been stalking her (in the good way) on the internet for years, and finally couldn’t resist.
Q: When do we ride horses?
We meet until about 12:30 on Saturday, and then break for lunch on your own. On Saturday afternoon, I drive the group out to the breathtaking Paradise Valley, where we go horseback riding for a few hours, then soak in the hot springs, then go out to eat and one of my other favorite restaurants. This adventure is optional, and about half the group usually ends up going.
There’s something about letting a horse carry you that is quite grounding after all the writing and thinking you’ve accomplished. Plus, dinner tends to be really fun and a great way to cap off your whole trip.
I cannot wait to help you rock the way you write about what you do.
And I am so looking forward to seeing you in person.
Keep up the good work,
P.S. This event sells out fast, so don’t wait. Last time, this event sold out in 6 hours, 6 months ahead of time. Join us!
